The files you provided work as expected for me, see image below. Not sure what’s happening on your end.
Perhaps its time to try resetting the preferences for After Effects and/or Camera Raw. Users/yourUser/Library/Preferences, remove (temporarily, to see if it solves the problem) both Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 Prefs and Adobe/After Effects/13.x (whichever release of After Effects you’re using).

That error indicates that a file is being processed that the Camera Raw plug-in doesn’t know how to read.
If you deselect the Camera Raw Sequence option, and just import a single file, does that work OK? Can you share one of the files with me so I can take a look at it? What version of the Camera Raw plug-in do you have installed?

Transcode the .mov frames to JPEG, TIFF, PSD, or PNG.
In the Import dialog in After Effects, change the Enable option to All Files, and change the Format to Camera Raw. Select your image sequence and click Import. (On Mac 10.11, you’ll need to click the Options button to show the Enable and Format options.)
This will force After Effects to use Camera Raw to read these files instead of the standard importers; it works only because Camera Raw supports JPEG, TIFF, PSD, and PNG (you can’t force a QuickTime file through this way because ACR doesn’t know how to decode one). After you change the Camera Raw settings, if you want to adjust them later, open the Interpret Footage dialog and click More Options.

(Although I posted in some social media channels I follow with my personal account, I didn’t want to barge in here with my Adobe-associated credentials.)
Everyone, anything you can offer to help Jenny will be appreciated by the entire After Effects team, including happy thoughts in her direction and sharing the link with people you know.
Thank you!

Steven,
To be 100% clear, I did not include that statement as a solution for the problem, it was to illustrate that those effects specifically will cause the bug and that the bug doesn’t occur when they are not present.
To dig a little deeper on the bug: what happens is that the Warp Stabilizer VFX and 3D Camera Tracker effects cause After Effects CC 2015 (13.5) to delay processing of mouse and keyboard input during frame renders. Input messages go into a queue which is being tied up waiting for those effects to respond. If you get stuck in this situation, I have found that quick and repeated inputs, such as clicking on a menu title or pressing the Esc key quickly and repeatedly, _may_ force the messages to the top of the queue.
If these two effects are a part of your workflow, the best workaround is for you to use After Effects CC 2014 (13.2) until we resolve the bug.
We do realize that this is a significant bug in After Effects CC 2015 (13.5), and have a fix for it (which I have personally tested) planned for the update we intend to release later this month.

February 25, 2015 at 6:23 pm in reply to: Is there a way to view a TIFF image sequence in camera raw in after effects cs5?After Effects does not have an automatic settings for handling different file types via Camera Raw like Photoshop or Bridge do, but it is possible.
In the Import dialog, change Enable menu (on Windows this menu is unlabeled, lower right corner) to All Files. OK the warning. Then change Format to Camera Raw. Make sure to enable Camera Raw Sequence if you’re importing an image sequence. Click Import.
This trick can be used to force any file through one of the available format importers. Of course, it only works as long as the importer is capable of processing that file type. Attempting, for example, to feed a QuickTime file into the Camera Raw importer will result in an error.

No update for After Effects or Premiere Pro was released this week. Updates for the CC 2014 versions of both applications are scheduled for release next week. The update for After Effects addresses some issues with Dynamic Link. Detailed information will be available when the updates are released.
This week an update for Adobe Camera Raw (8.7.1) was released. Because After Effects loads the common Camera Raw plug-in, this appears as an update to After Effects in the Creative Cloud application manager. More information on this update to Camera Raw is here:
