Neil, are you saying I should log and transfer the h.264 footge again with a ProRes setting in the Log and Transfer preferences window? Thanks!

Neil, thank you SO MUCH for your detailed answer. My HD pro specs are actually 2:

720p 60, pixel aspect, HD960x720, field dominance is none.

The other is DVCProHD 1080p30, pixel aspect is 1280×1080

So 3 different camera settings!

Should I still follow your instructions above?

Sorry, the specs are:

DSLR 1 – h.264, 1920×1080, pixel aspect is square, field dominance is upper (odd), vid rate 29.97

DSLR 2 – h.264, 1920×1080, pixel aspect is square. field dominance none, vid rate 23.98

HD Panasonic camera – 29.97, 1280×1080, pixel aspect HD(1280×1080), field dominance none

source footage is HD, largest still in 1.1 mb and there are a handful in the whole film. 3.1ghz, 4G memory, graphics HD 6970 1024mb…

I’m looking in sequence settings. which tab do you want info from?

Don’t get why a one yr old Imac with plenty of juice is having this issue when the 3 yr old Imac does not
