    Thanks Guys,

I ended up going with the 250 to match the 370 codecs. I also will have to roll for multiple hours so I am shooting in AVC-Intra 50 as opposed to 100 so I can extend the record time of the P2 cards.

    Thanks!

I agree, sadly I cannot find anybody who will rent me another HPX370.

    Hi Shane,

Thanks for your help. I found a way to do it and honestly the avid pull looked cleaner.

    Thanks!

So are you saying I shouldn’t transcode to 23.98 but to 59.94?

Sorry Michael I don’t quite follow. Do you mean I should start a new project and AMA into there, and then open the bin in a 23.98 project?

Hi Ty, thanks for getting back to me. I could do that, I was using a mixer so that I could punch between the home theater and the studio monitors to check mixes on the 5.1 system. Can the rockets accept 1/4 inch and not compromose sound? It’s also nice having a control module right there but I suppose I don’t need it. Although…why do I so often see mixers on editor desks anyway?

Thank You very much guys. I think that this may very well be the next camera for me as if I were to ever shoot a feature film I’d be renting the big guns as opposed to owning. I need something for my work which is mostly corporate/commercial work and want to get beyond the limitations of the DSLRs. I don’t mean to knock them, great cameras, but I love the idea of slow motion and higher image quality. Good Stuff!

    Hey John,

Thanks for all of your input on lighting. I had some lowells lying around that are battery powered that I can use as backlights (for now) so I decided to take your idea and just buy what I need so I grabbed a Diva Lite 401 as my first PRO light and will just use the cheaper lights to fill in the shadows for now.

    Good Stuff!
