In the prefrence setting for PI3, make sure that it is 720 by 480 and that lower fields first is checked. I’m going to guess that your footage in Premier is DV, that DV footage is lower fields first. When you export or render out of PI3, you want that AVI to be lower filds first as well. My guess is this is what your problem is.

Anyone have any ideas as to how this was done? I looks as if it was done in AE, but not sure how. I know that the new opening for Smallville was done in AE and Final Cut Pro.
Any feed back would be great, I’m interested in doing this kind of effect.
    Thanks.

Well I was able to solve the problem ( I think ) I had been having some problems with my primary hard drive and switched it to another IDE controler. After doing this I have not had any more problems with rendering an AVI file.

Elvis, I hate to say this, but I need help with blockers. I’m adding a blocker layer
and I put say 4 points on a frame, but when I go to the next frame and move the points the
background from the first frame moves with the blockers. Is there a tutorial on how to
do blocker for something like what I

    Thanks Elvis,

To be honest, that is how I started out doing the effect, when I reached frame 240 and thought it might be easier to do the one emitter to cover the whole bow and then go back and block the hand area. I thought about just making a square block for that area so it will just show the hands and a little bite of the bow staff, but I haven
