I have read about clip wrap, although the downside is it will only convert the first minuet of video for free. I just read briefly about adobe media encoder, have you used that?

Crap I didn’t even get to converting to Apple pro res 422 ok so i went to compressor with the .mp4 files i got from handbrake exported a copy of it as an AIC .mov, Apple Pro Res 222 .mov, H.264 .mov all at standard settings but the frame size is 1280×720. Problem is they all have distortion (scan lines show during movement) Then I tryed same settings H.264 encode but a smaller frame at 720×486 (16:9) it fixed the scan line isuue but now it’s gone through unwrapping and compression. As you can tell by reading this I am sort of learning this as I go, ideally my question is there a program preferably free that will convert from .mts to apple pro res 422, my concerns as usual are time and quality

The video is 51 mins long so should I be looking for a low data rate or a sweet spot so to speak like a total of 1000-2000kbps?

Ok so I exported the video with the above settings, video quality is good and the file size is sitting at 438.9MB so with that in mind, am I in the clear now? I know you can upload up to something like 2GB but will a video of this size play fluently?

This is my standard setting for log and transfer, would that do it?

I did see that suggested in a similar thread and checked it out and i always have it set to a black bg. I also saw a post maybe suggesting my processer speed but that wouldn’t account for the poor export quality would it? plus i looked into something suggesting it would be my monitor which seems unlikely at this point.

Ok another thing with this is that when I play back the clip in the canvas it looks fine, when I pause it, well it looks horrible, does this ring a bell to anyone?

I have tryed darkening the clip, but it turns out quite the same, to me it almost looks like the filter isn’t coming out through the export.
