SchoolTube’s recommendations are a little too low for my liking I think. I will probably use YouTube but those two are the least of my concern. My main concern is for our Channel 12 school channel which is powerful enough to run about anything. It has an AMD A10-5800K quad core and an R7-265 video card, plus 8gigs of ram. No problem playing stuff on our channel. I just want to know what you all would recommend for that I guess. You must excuse me as sometimes I think one thing but write another and don’t say it clearly enough. Thanks.

Does yours have a handle for easy handling and carrying?

Wow, thanks a lot. I will start looking at those items. I do have a TriCaster 40 at this time but it is in our studio and all hooked up and we don’t want to unhook and hook it back up. I would like to eventually get another T40 but at this time that is not in the picture. I hope I can make this work.

I don’t know what to try. I have tried WinDV and it worked for a tape but now it does not work anymore for some reason. I hooked up and elgato through usb but it compressed it so much that it looks like crap. Is there any usb one that is reasonable priced that will not compress the video coming in? I don’t think for some reason that my canopus is going to work anymore even though it worked on my other machine in W7.

I am thinking it may be a driver issue. When I go into the capture device software and click capture it starts but what happens is the pause button on the software seems to stick if that makes any sense. When I click on the play button the sound starts but it goes immediately off of the play button back to the pause and the sound stops. It seems maybe like a driver issue for the 1394 device. I am not sure if there is an update somewhere for it. I have tried but nothing seems available.
