That’s likely because you don’t have enough hard disk drive space wherever you’re trying to output the file to. Clear off some disk space on the drive where you’re putting your newly exported file, and you should be good to go.

You need to find out what codec(s) they accept. Quicktime is just a wrapper (or “Format” as AME calls it). Inside that wrapper you can put virtually anything – h.264, JPEG, ProRes, DNxHD, Animation, DVCPRO, etc. Your settings show that you are using “Uncompressed” as your codec. You could use something like ProRes or just straight NTSC DV (a standard codec back in the SD days was DV25 at 25mbps). But it all comes down to what the station accepts.

The domain name you register with SquareSpace is yours, you’d just have to move it another register when you leave (GoDaddy, Domain Name, Name Cheap, etc.). Think of the domain like your phone number. It’s yours, but you have to move it over should you switch providers. For my site (in the link below) I registered it with GoDaddy, but SquareSpace handles on the content.

Yes. So you can use Vimeo or YouTube to host your videos and then plug in the link to SquareSpace and it’ll “fetch” the video for use on your site. Take a look at my site…the videos are hosted on both Vimeo and YouTube but shown on my website. Linking to them is literally as easy as copying the web address and pasting it into SquareSpace.

The galleries within SquareSpace are built for photographers. Depending on your needs it may be all you need to display your work. For the amount and needs of stills that I have it works fine for me.

It’s a good idea to keep a backup of your photos on multiple media. My rule: a file doesn’t exist until it exists on at least 2 different media (preferably in different geographic locations too). Plus the files that you’ll be uploading to Smug Mug or SquareSpace will likely be lower resolution JPEG, so you’ll want to keep your high quality originals on something else.

It sounds like you don’t have a lot of experience with web building. You may look to more templated solutions that don’t require as much time and setup as a WP site. Something like SquareSpace (they’ll even take care of the domain issues for you), Wix, or Weebly. I use SquareSpace for my site, and their customer service is phenomenal!

Open CL = AMD GPU
CUDA = Nvidia GPU

Since you’re running an Nvidia card, keep it on CUDA. Other things to try:
(1) Update your CC to the latest version – 2014.1 came out last month and patched many bugs
(2) Delete your “media” cache in both PPro and AME (Preferences –> Media –> Clean)
(3) Update your OS as Apple has patched bugs as well. 10.9.5 is certified to run with CC 2014.1
(4) Are you using any plugins – Red Giant, Neat Video, FX Facotry, etc? These can conflict sometimes and cause errors
(5) Do you have read/write permission to all drives where media is stored and where media is being written to (use Disk Utility to repair permissions on your volumes)
(6) Does the export work fine if run through Premiere (so don’t Queue it to AME, just export directly within PPro)

Hopefully some of those get you on the track to solving this!

So you have the internal drive form your Compaq that you want to attach to your Mac as an external drive? If so, you’ll need to buy an enclosure to put the hard drive in. Enclosures can hold either a 2.5″ drive or a 3.5″ drive. You’ll need to buy the enclosure that correctly corresponds to what you have. And then you can attach the drive to your Mac…depending on how it was formatted (Fat32, NTFS, etc) the Mac may or may not be able to “see it.”

You can mask in CS6, but it’s a painful experience. You’d be stuck hand animating the mask. PPro CS6 has no tracking ability. If you go the CS6 route you’re better off in After Effects which has a dedicated tracker for that type of work.
