In my opinion, the BBB is of little value. I have seen cases — one after another, in fact — where sleezy operators who are downright despicable are listed as “No Complaints” by the BBB. I take them about as serious as promises made by politicians. It seems dues (and political contributions) are more important than the truth, from what I can tell. I wouldn’t join them for love nor money but that is just my opinion.

Neither have I. They are one of my least favorite companies in this industry.

Personally, I wouldn’t do business with them directly. Using a product like G-Tech, which uses Highpoint inside, there is a “layer of protection” between you and direct contact with Highpoint. I could handle that. (Let G-Tech handle them.) But direct dealings? I don’t think so.

We won’t have a booth because working a booth for a week is just too much for our already overworked small team.

I joke with my friends, that if a recession is a battle, and a depression is a war, then what is happening today could be likened to an apocalypse.

It isn’t easy to rearrange nation-centric economies into a world-adjusted model; one in which longtime rivalries and indigenous areas of expertise are revamped, reshuffled, and set into new patterns that inevitably include times and areas of deflation.

Hopefully, it will one day balance out but I don’t think human nature is going to change all that much, all that quickly, and so the reshuffling of the deck is going to be very painful for many for quite some time to come.

But those that learn to “surf a business like waves on the ocean” will bounce back far more quickly than those that wait for the big seas to settle down.
