Never mind/figured it out.

For some reason, all of my media files are occasionally duplicated, with the -1 character in the file. I have about 200 original media files in the project folder. Wondering why that happens. Is it something I did? Thanks for any ideas.

I’m trying to replace several words in a text frame (using legacy text), and every time I change a letter, Vegas jumps out of text edit mode, and I have to get back into text edit. Doing this a couple dozen times seems crazy, and thinking there must be a better way to edit blocks of text.

What is the best (primary) way to adjust audio levels in an audio track– use the track level with edit points, or the event level? I’d guess use track level, so you can make quick level changes. But sometimes it’s easier to slide the event level for a quick change on a short event. Or I guess both, but when I do that, I sometimes get confused…

When I adjust the height of one track to see its details better, all the tracks seem to change height randomly. Did I accidentally change something that would cause this?

Figured it out. The layout of my Explorer had changed.

But trying to save project as “save as” locks up the computer. What a day!

My Vegas project just locked up the computer, and had to do a hard shut down. I was able to open the most recent .bak, but when I tried to change the name, it crashed the computer. I have some dialogue that was recorded way too low. I can bring it up to a good level, but lots of electronic hiss/white noise. Can’t use the noise gate, because it almost equals volume of voice when cranked up. Wondering if there’s a modern miracle cure for this…

Is is possible to name tracks in VP 15? I remember this in earlier versions, but can’t find this feature anymore.

Sometimes it can take up to 5 seconds to save my project. It is small… just 15 minutes, with 4 tracks. I’m using the main SSD drive for the program, and a second SSD for the media. Generally the saves take a second or less to complete.

Every time I restart my computer after working several hours with Vegas Pro 15, I get a message that because it shut down improperly, I have to reboot an autosave version and rename it. What do you think the problem is?

Didn’t work well. More than 1,000 returns, many of which don’t refer to Vegas Pro, which is what I need. Also it would be great to have a date filter. Reading replies from 16 years ago is not terribly helpful. I know coding is hard. Good luck with it!
