Yeah. I was trying to cut corners in the interest of time, but alas, it didn’t work. I ended up constructing an entire 3D scene in the interest of quality. Isn’t that how it always works?
I found 7.4.1 on Apple’s site. I installed it and everything is back to normal. I’ve not had troubles with new versions until now but I’ll certainly heed that advice in the future. In case anyone else has the same issues go here and you can get at least 7.4.1 on the right hand side of the page.
I re-installed it and found the “enable encoding using legacy codecs” option. I checked it and loaded up my AE. Unfortunately, it’s still giving the same error messages. It’s literally ANY mov I try and use.
I’m now receiving this error as well. I checked out Mylenium’s page and it says that the file is probably damaged. The files were fine on friday (the last time I worked on this project). Can the files become damaged when I’ve not even accessed them? If so, how does this happen, and how do I avoid it in the future?
Thanks for all of the advice guys. I’m thankfully familiar with graphics as a whole. I’ve been using photoshop for a while, which certainly helps. I’ve been doing some of the tutorials and you’re right, I don’t really know WHY i’m doing what I am, I just copy. That’s my problem. I did get the initial Meyer book, so hopefully that will help.
