    hi…

1st, go to top of screen of photoshop, and click on the “window” menu button (alt w if you are running windows).

Ensure options in this menu has a tick next to it. if not, click on it to put a tick there.

Now, click on your crop tool. On the top of the screen now you should see some options. Where it says width and height, you have something typed in there… delete by ressing clear on the end of this options bar…so now these boxes are blank.

Tool should now work as you want it to.

Also, when you select the crop tool, you see the crom tool apear on the option bar… you can create, delete and reset presets using the drop down button, and then clicking on the small arrow on the right hand side of the drop down box.

what you could do, is click on the layer containing the text, then click on Edit, free transform path. Now, if you hold the mouse over the corner of the selected area, a two way curved arrow will appear. That way you can spin the text to get the position you require lined up perfectly.

    Hope this Helps

it Sounds silly, but have you tried grabbing the other end of your line and moving it up or down slightly and seeing if the line then goes perfectly straight???

When drawing shapes, holding down shift (windows os) whilst drawing will keep everything as it should be… a line straight, a circle circular (instead of oliptical) and a square square.

Draw a circle on a layer.
Now click on the Add Anchor Point tool (inside the pen tool)
Click on points around the circle, in effect drawing a line around it.
Now select your type tool. Put it up to the edge of the circle until you see a little diagnal line across it then click

Now type. once completed, delete the layer with the circle drawn and bob’s your uncle!

within CS2, click on the window tab at the top (alt W in for windows OS)

ensure options in ticked in this window. (for a short cut key: Alt W O )

On the top row now, you should see options. Select your magnifying glass and you will see option on the top left of the page… including a + and a – whichever is toggled is the one that the glass will perform.

Alternatively, if have the magnifying glass on, and it is set to zoom in, pressing and holding ALT whilst clicking will reverse the direction of the zoom

you can open both images seperately, then click on the restore down button in the top right corener, next to the X close button, so you can have both windows open together side by side, then click on the image you want to take across with the move tool selected, and drag it on to the background image. (CS2 looks like it isn’t going to allow this to happen when you do it, but it will).

Alternatively, you could select the image with selection tool, go to edit copy, then go to background page and press edit paste… Either will do the job
