Hmm- kinda depends on what “this system” is besides the drives but most likely not.

It’s called- don’t hand it out to anyone… CDs and DVDs are impossible to protect from anyone who knows even the slightest bit about ripping.

They need to have matching timecode. I typically do this by digitizing the digibeta source uncompressed and then syncing it with the raw AIF mono tracks from the mix in FCP. From there you export the final MOV file matched in length by synced up mono AIFS. The MOV goes into Compressor for MPEG-2 encoding, the AIFs go to APack or Compressor 2 to become a synced AC3. If you start with just the AC3 mixdown there’s no way to sync it other than guessing.

You would need to create two versions- one for computer that’s deinterlaced and one that isn’t for TV. You could create a menu that allows the user to choose one or the other for their playback.

It’s incredibly old school but I suspect the Yellow Pages will probably do the job.
