I agree with Brian. Smoke is a very capable editor, but it does have a relatively steep learning curve.

Just got another garbage EDL and XML from FCP. Maybe their way of fixing all the bad EDL’s, is to not make them at all…. BRILLIANT!

New interface. Gets lots of oohs and aaahs.

Color sync.

Resolution independent playback system.

GCD. Grand central dispatch. Leverage all the cores and the gpu. Background rendering. Big cheer in that one
