I confused by one thing, the isis 7000 say it comes with 2 switch connectivity the Iss2000, which has (8) 1g ethernet connections and 1 10g connection.
So does this mean that you have the capacity to connect 16 direct connected clients via the 1g Ethernet and 2 clients via the 10g?
Also if you are going to expand the capacity of the isis you need to purchase more Chassis/engines not just the ISBs right?

October 17, 2012 at 10:17 pm in reply to: multi track multi group editing in Multicam modeMoving it to the V1 track did work. I feel like that is kinda of a silly thing, but if it works it works.
Thank you

You might not be able to do this in avid specifically, but I know that some versions (6 at least) came bundled with a third party app from Boris. They are calling avid fx. Bu I believe it is also known as Boris red. In this program. Which is similar to after effects. You can create custom transitions and composites an the have them live in avids effects palette

Well I’m a idiot. I should have looked closer. Sorry. On the website you attached I looks like they have a whole heck of a lot of adaptor mounts. I’m guessing non of those will fit your current heads?

I have some heavy duty Vinten vector 750 heads that have this type of mount. According to vinten they call it a 4 bold flat mount
Hopefully this helps. Not sure its a industry standard name or not.

Theres a company out there called facilis, that we have been looking into. It was created by one of the guys who orginally created Avid Unity, with that the offer a storage system with what they are calling avid emulation, which basicly makes the Avid think its working on a Issis. But it also offers support for FCP and Adobe edit evoirments. Its really go us looking long and hard at this product.

Telestream products are very good. While I have never used wire cast we do have quite a bit of there other products and they all work as advertised. Also there customer support is very good as well. Good luck!

Sorry, It seems like you have a decent basic set up going though. If you can’t get you card to stream and capture at the same time you may see if you can use adobe to help. If its possible see if you can get adobes master suite on your iMac. I know they have great deals on educational institutions. If you can you may be able to use that flash encoder and create a stream out that way then use the black magic software just for capture. Not sure if the iMac is beefy enough to run this but it’s a option to explore if you can’t get you other way to work.
