I didnt heard about any DSLR that was damaged by overheating, so I am not afraid of it. I was just wondering if its possible to capture video from a camera into Vegas in real time. I heard its possible, but I dont know how 🙂

I cant test it, because I dont know how to do it 🙂 I know, but my camera doesnt overheat.

Oh, I just found the solution – you need to use Vegas preview button 🙂 The preview button in the plugin doesnt work.

Is there a way how to know for sure if the video is really interlaced or progressive?

I probably found the source of the problem. I shot some footage with my old Canon HV20 camera. I set the camera to progressive mode (the camera can shoot progressive and interlaced video), but Vegas sees the footage as interlaced. When I change it (in project settings) or render it to progressive, the video seems to be softer. But the camera is really set to record progressive video. I dont get it.

Yes, I click on the star icon and it is saved… until I close Vegas.
