You should be able to. Map menu command to button (or something like that), not button to button. Select the key you want to map it to in your keyboard settings, then go to special–restore default patch. Should be able to map it with no problems.

Apply it to one clip. Adjust until you like it. In the effect editor select the clip and copy it (Cmd+C or Ctrl+C). Select the rest of the clips in your timeline you want to apply it to – paste (Cmd+V or Ctrl+V).

Select your titles in your bin and delete the associated media files (uncheck “delete X effect clip(s)”.
Open your timeline – titles are now offline. With the timeline active go to Clip–>Re-Create Title Media.
Pick your drive and resolution (you’ll see that you now have HD resolution options). Avid will recreate your titles and you’re done! If you keyframed them, it keeps that too. Just remakes the title in HD.

Delete the associated media – keep the master clips in the bin. Or just select a few clips in your bin, choose to Batch Import and choose All Clips. Import and your sequence will update with the new HD imports.
Batch import only – this will auto update in your sequence. If you do a regular import you’ll have to edit the new imports into your sequence.
The batch imports will be HD if you are still in an HD project.

Just downloaded it. Will be testing it next week on a project (specifically to test the LUT and FrameFlex additions). Interested to see how well the background consolidating/transcoding/copying works, as well as the media managed AMA improvements.

I never used *edit, but if I’m understanding it correctly you want the option to name your tracks (eg., A1 as Dialogue, A2 as SFX, etc)? If so, both Avid and Premiere give you this functionality. Avid has had it for years, Premiere I know has had it since 5.5 (probably sooner).

Go to the timeline fast menu (lower left hand corner) and poke around to see if someone unchecked showing V8.
You can choose which tracks to show – I’m not in front of a system right now so I can’t give you a detailed idea of what to look for, but it’s in the timeline fast menu.
