yepp i agree on set work but usually people do not ask for that.
you can pump memory have ssd etc but it still will limit you no matter what you do.
speed increase will be still relatively minimal.
i have been on mac book pro. yes you can operate there but not really enjoyable imo.
so maybe i should have started with a question: “what is the objective”?
if only on set and looks creating then there is a way as you pointed out earlier.
to have fulle experience then there is no way imo.even towers and dower have so big difference.

try to make some searches on gtx cards and you have
many options and pointers.If not come back here and i will search them for you.

4000 is very weak. you will not get any great performance out of it.
you should use it maybe in place of ati you have and add something faster.

yeah i really like mocha masking abilities.
and you said it. no point tracker. more like are tracker with ability to see behind the corner and
mask out obstructions.something that any point tracker fails.

But in the other hand why would it need to run on every laptop ?
On laptop you could use something else then ?
It has also been long time that some apps like to live on
specific hardware and work there nicely.It is more windows thing to run on what ever and crash a lot.

I would get this army of people and attack it maybe with mocha pro maybe ?
i find resolve masking not so precise and controllable as i would like.
more like approximation in some cases.
i have more post experience and there you like really tight control of your masks.would this be option for you – make mattes in .mov files instead of internal masks?

if you read config manual then you see that all laptops are relatively weak.
ok there is lag but weaker the machine have bigger lag always.
