Well, that sound pretty har dto match up well. Maybe you could shoot it against one of those seats that goes all the way up your back? Then you wouldn’t have to green screen at all. Just use some wind and light changes, add the sfx, keep the shot tight.

    Conclusion:

Well, I did try a reinstall. Unfortunately I was never able to get that project back. From now on, I’ll always “Increment and save”.

Well, I tried everything in that thread to no avail.

one question, is importing a project into a new project different that hitting CTRL + I and selecting the project file? Is there a special way to do this?

As a last resort, it also said I could try to download the trial version of CS3 and open it in that. Right now I’m using AE PRO 7.

    Any thoughts would be grand!

Also, I can open every other project. It;s just the one that I need tht isn’t working. Does After Effects have some kind of auto save vault similar to Avid where you can restore previous saves of the project?

Okay well, I tried holding down the shit key with no alternate effect. Should I reinstall? Will that mess my projects up?

    Thanks for the advice.

What’s changed? Nothing. I might have moved a few files around but that’s about it. I don’t think any of the files were even related to the project though.

I’ll try holding down the shift key.

That’s a good way of doing it. I’ll use that in the future. This actually isn’t a simple “fly in” effect. The elements come in on cranes and ladders and scissor lifts and the like.

So, I can’t redo all my animation at this point.

And no, the 3D option was not checked on all the layers (woops!) I’m pretty new with AE. Unfortunately, I’m trying to finish a project while simultaneously learning the app.

That sloved the problem. Now they all behave the way they should when parented together.

    Thank you much!
