Hi Don and Andy, thanks for getting back to me!

Would you be able to recomend one of the drives I listed as being the best for this type of work, or even a different brand?

lol, I actually didn’t know about the reformating untill I read it on the Lacie site last night so the detailed response really helped. Creatively I seem to be doing alright, lol, technically though I’m way behind most people in my school. I really need to work on that part.

    Thank you again,

Thank you so much for getting back to me, I really appreciate it. I’m guessing something might be wrong now, I’ve tried the battery and I’m still just stuck in the cam set submenu. I remember last semester I had this problem with one of the cameras and then the next one I took out was fine.
I’ll have to take a trip to radio shack tomorrow after school.
    Thank you again!

Thank you very much for your responses, I really appreciate it. It really helps to know about looping now. I don’t think I’ll be able to do that though so I’m going to experiment with compression and filters. That makes perfect sense now that I think of compression (I know just a tiny bit from song recording). And it sounds like I need to get my hands on STP! I wish I was at school so I could try right now, lol, thats why I need a laptop!
    Thanks again,

The iMac is an idea, but i really like the laptops. working outside and having everything contained in one unit are big factors for me.

I added the 100GB and 5400 RPM drive to my list of features.

    Thanks again =)

Thats great to know. I’m really glad knowing there shouldnt be a prob. I think I’m going to most likely go with the 15 inch and juice it up as much as it goes, lol, and keep it off my lap!
    Thanks,

    whoops, lol =X I didn’t know that.

that sounds great, I was hoping it would be ok. Maybe I’ll save the magic bullet for the school comps then.

I agree about the 17inch, I think the 15 seems to feel the perfect size to be nice and compact.

    Thanks alot!
