using mp3’s by any chance?

ae doesnt like mp3’s, trying using aiff or wav.

A good place to start with syncing audio to keyframes would be Trapcodes Soundkeys https://www.trapcode.com/products_soundkeys.html

why dont you use some screen capturing software such as camtasia studio 2 or commotion 4 etc.. as appose to filming the screen?

Unless you were after an actual shot of more than just the screen itself…then your going to have to change some refresh rates etc

AE dislikes many file types such as mp3 and therefore can have issues with importing in wmv’s etc..
Your beast trying to keep your audio to .aiff and .wav formats.
