So when I import my stills into the footage, that&#8217;s what happens to them. I&#8217;m also supplying the filmmaker with the best quality stills, so I&#8217;ll follow your advice and go high, whether that means upscaling&hellip;</p>

<p>I&#8217;m working on a movie being edited in 1920 X 1080 and it may be bumped up to 2K. I&#8217;m scanning and modifying still images for use in the movie. I&#8217;ve heard that ultra hi res images aren&#8217;t recommended for movies. I guess the settings for the movie override the photo&hellip;</p>

<p>The clip is a Photoshop .psd clip containing 15 layers.</p>
<p>I was manipulating the layers earlier today.</p>
<p>Turned off the computer to install some software.</p>
<p>When I reopened FCPX There was the compound clip, in the project I&#8217;d put it in, and the part I had worked on would play. I mean the various layers were doing their&hellip;</p>

FCP reads that track as 24 p.</p>
<p>The video track has been transferred from film negative and FCP reads that track as 23.98</p>
<p>I&#8217;m having some synching problems.</p>
<p>Is that the cause?</p>
<p>If it is, what do I do?</p>
<p>Believe me, these two are supposed to go together. They&#8217;ve been rescued and are over 40 years old.</p>

So glad I can control keyframes and copy and paste them. When I did a search for USING keyframes I got a lot of tutorials that were too basic. So I assumed, wrongly, that there was no way. I guess reset parameters works in transform but you have to hit every&hellip;</p>

You can also copy and paste keyframes.</p>
<p>In FCP I don&#8217;t see any way to do either of these things and I&#8217;ve looked.</p>
<p>So if I want a particular layer to change position at let&#8217;s say, 45 seconds, then hold until one minute, then change, I can&#8217;t&hellip;</p>

I keep an original track in my timeline, for reference, so I can be sure that the music in the performance I&#8217;m working on is ALWAYS in sync. with the image. As soon as I detach the audio from that reference track, it tends to drift and cause problems and it no longer syncs with the reference track (or anything else.). I want to&hellip;</p>

<p>I&#8217;m using AE 23.1.0</p>
<p>I found some handy advice on Youtube that helps a little but not always:</p>
<p>only use mercury software, not GPU &amp; don&#8217;t render multiple frames.</p>
<p>I see that AE uses 88% of the 64 gigs of memory. So I don&#8217;t try to run anything else while rendering.</p>

One problem is these occasional frames with noise. Can I substitute a copy of the NEXT frame for the bad frame using &#8220;save frame&#8221; for the good frame, will that work? <p>I&#8217;ve got original video of execrable quality. Just awful. Lowest possible lighting, visual noise like crazy. I&#8217;m trying to make it viewable as part of an actual movie, much of which is film. If I use/overdo the noise reduction effect, the visual noise is lessened by a lot but the effect is tooooo blurry.&hellip;</p>
