Thanks! I thought whenever anything is called 30 fps, it’s always “technically” 29.97. So wouldn’t the canon camera already be in the correct frame rate?
this might sound like a simple over look, but it has happened to me. You say the levels in FCP aren’t clipping… do you think it could be the speakers you’re playing out of on your computer or edit suite? I have had that happen to me. My speakers were out putting more than they could handle because the bass or something was too high. The actual audio in the video was fine. Try playing the audio on different speakers or adjust the speaker levels. 🙂
would you say this is necessary for great audio? Would this eliminate room noise/wind and other ambient noises? I’m always plugging directly into the camera, but is the mic really SUPPOSED to be plugged into something else?
Ok sooo… it wasn’t a capture thing. It was a sequence thing. After fiddling around with the easy setup settings, I’m not exactly sure what I changed since i did the same thing a dozen times, but now it looks crystal clear.
