I tried the expression as well and it only works when I change the word true to false.
Color changes now every frame.I’d like to change color every second for example,what’d be the code?

use a solid(=Layer 1) with the ramp effect on it and choose the Stencil Luma Mode for example.

Just copy+paste your plug-ins into the ae 7.0 plug-in folder,you will not need to reinstall anything.
