Still haven’t figured anything out. Here is a video to more clearly show what is going on. Also, I tried nesting the white shock wave in a full frame group and then sourcing that group to the distortion filter on the background thinking the placement information would carry over, but it is still centering it no matter where it is placed initially.
This seems like something simple I am missing?

I’ve seen this. What I did was turn off snapping (“n” I think), zooming it to like 800%, and placing manually to pixel perfect accuracy. It’s a bit of a workaround but the satisfaction of knowing it’s perfect makes up for it.

Very cool! That must be a huge camera crane to get those shots over the crowd. The paint looks fantastic also. Glad I didn’t have to clean that up.

Did you try extending the outpoints of each of the elements (objects, text, background images) as well as the project play range?
-
1) Hit “command+j” to open project properties and change the duration to desired length.
2) Set your new extended outpoints on timeline.
