That is really a joke&#8230; how can a &#8220;pro&#8221; video program not offer an industry standard file format that is used in video production? Seriously, how hard is it to implement that? There are a zillion other formats offered&#8230; but not the one everyone uses?</p>

<p>I&#8217;m Control-click dragging a video clip and copying it on the time line.</p>
<p>Is there a way to copy the various keyframes along with the clip?</p>
<p>When I do it, it only copies the clip itself. I&#8217;d like to copy everything from the original clip.</p>

<p>Render time, way reduced, yes! First time ever!  </p>
<p>Template started as MainConcept Internet 4K 2160p but I increased maximum bit depth to 100,000,000 and minimum to 50,000,000</p>
<p>Rendered using CUDA. (Check GPU said CUDA available)</p>
<p>Render quality: best</p>
<p>RAM: 30000 (max avail: 32768)</p>
<p>NVIDIA Quadro P4000</p>

<p>I have 64 GB of RAM so I thought I might try putting in a higher number. I put in 20 000 and it totally sped up render time on a 4K file.</p>

<p>If you have it set to automatically create proxies, does that affect your render? Like, when you&#8217;re ready to render will it go back and use the higher res files? Perhaps selecting best quality in the render settings makes it do that?</p>

Minimal effects. Just levels/brightness kind of effects. I used Handbrake to re-render make sure all the videos had a constant frame rate etc. </p>
<p>The thing will barely play even with the preview window set to &#8220;draft quarter&#8221;.  What the heck?</p>

<p>The opening page is a jpeg with text. When the page turns, it shows the backwards text through the page, as it would look if you could see through the page.</p>

<p>Now I see in windows task manager/performance that the GPU is taking a bit of the stress off the CPU. Not a lot mind you, but as you say, I guess the BCC plugin is more CPU intensive.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll inform about whether it was any faster once my render is complete.</p>

The 5 minute song took 15 hours to render yesterday! Ouch!</p>
<p>Anyhow, someone asked if I was using only CPU to render which is set to use CPU by default in vegas.</p>
<p>I have an Nvidia quadro p4000, should I render this differently?</p>

I recall having issues installing various codec packs with ad-ons etc. before.<br />
Is there a particular codec pack or way to get Vegas to open AVIs without me messing up my system?<br />
Not sure why Vegas wouldn&#8217;t have it&#8217;s own way to play a windows video file&#8230;<br />
