    Thanks for reminding me about Vegasaur. In the meantime I figured out a work-around: I created a preset that had only the attributes/text properties but with no text. Then I went to the unformatted text event and cut the text out. I loaded the preset then pasted back down the text and… voila! The text was now formatted. Yea!

    Was Notepad even a script but an extension? And why can’t we take the notepad that we had in Vegas 6 (?) and tweak it to work in 13? Thanks for the support, Steve.

    I figured it out. I was dragging/creating a text box when I went to place the text, instead of just Shift+clicking it into the page.
