i have tried to bring the segments into sony vegas an rerendering them but i still get an error.

what is an appropriate intermediate file format for my segments?

i encounter an error if i have the whole project up in one timeline. i have to split the project into several 5 or 10 minute segments.

the error says:

an error occurred during the current operation.
an exception has occured

i have split up most projects i work on.

when try to render the whole thing i get a message that says:

an error occurred during the current operation.
an exception has occured

i even get that message when i’m just working on the project in one piece. i have to split the movie into a bunch of 5 or 10 segments to work on it. meaning i have to have a bunch of different sony vegas files to work on it.

render settings:

video mode: CBR
format: windows media video 9
image size: 1440 x 1080
(checkmarked) override default compression buffer (seconds): 8
video smoothness: 90

target bitrate
internet/LAN : 6.4 m

i’m rendering out to wmv
source video format is wmv.

i can’t render to any other format other then avi or wmv. the others are all poor quality or the just don’t render at all.

sony vegas 9 HD platinum edition usually crashes on me when i’m working on projects. i always have to divide them into smaller sections.

how do i disable my GPU? i looked online but there were no answers.
