Hi Bob, We did in fact order the JVC and added the BR-HD50U deck. I thought about the analog component HD but also ordered a HD-CONNECT MI from Convergent Designs, converting the HDMI out on the deck to SDI. Do you think this is unnecessary or of little gain?

I Diddo what Walter said. I too am a former cinewave user and have only been on the AJA LHe for about 2 months. The transition was smooth as silk. Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the input Bob. The problem has nothing to do with the Mackie board. It’s the left channel coming out of the card. That has been isolated for sure. I simply mentioned the Mackie and monitors to let everyone know we’re not trying to twist wires together with an old set of car speakers or some ridiculous thing and wondering why we have bad audio.

My UL5D is working great in my Mac Pro 3.0. I did run the firmware update.

Hi Raruido, I just installed the most current UL5D driver (Mac OS X 10.4.x ExpressPCI Driver v3.60) and it seems to work just fine and I didn’t need to reformat. (However I will be anyway)
