I often burn in the timecode during my editing when I am creating a dvd for a client to review and give me feedback.
Why do you want the timecode burned in during the recording process? I cannot understand how this helps you or them?

Here is what I do.
I hold the camera firmly against my shoulder. I hold the front with left hand, and right hand in the strapped handle. I look into the lcd display. My eye is about 4 inches from the display. My eye cannot focus or see if the display is focused. However, I can determine if I am framed properly.
Of course spread stance with the feet and keep the zoom as little as possible.
I use this technique a lot when interviewing people like coaches or celebrities and don’t have the luxury of tripod or time.For smaller people or children I hold firmly against my chest or even abdomen.
Prior to this I tried all sorts of gadgets, and the problem is they only work if you add a lot of counterweight so that they hang behind your shoulder to balance. Then you have so much clap trap the transition back to tripod is time consuming.

Yes,
In the menu that looks like drawers is others. There is something called date recording.
Just turn in on and it will visibly record date and time.Date and time are always recorded in metadata which can be viewed with the editor or ingest software.

I agree with the need to see what the preset numbers are. I have looked and not found a solution. I would love it say what the degrees k is.

When I look at the PMW-200, however, it doesn’t look like a next generation NX5U. True, it has a 20x zoom, but it records in xdcam on sd cards, instead of the more compact avchd.

I don’t think NX5U is a good camera for slow motion.
The way it does slow motion, or speeded up recording, is to reduce the number of pixels it captures in each frame. If you can live with that like for web stuff, you would be ok.
In any case, you want to shoot high speed, like 1/500 exposure time, progressive. That way each individual picture will be clear.

I am not able to answer your question based on experience. I have a 128 gig memory device and have not had the relay issue before.
Howevever, I do use a PC, and know how the CMU should work. Based on that, I would expect after it finished with your first card, it would ask you for the second card.
Can you elaborate your comment, I have tried everything.

I have 4 of the NX5u and I use them for the purposes you describe.
I make a full time living at it and believe for this purpose they are the best.
Low light.
20 x zoom.
128 gig recording unit.Their main problem is that the focus loves vertical lines. Which mean you have to look at your monitor closely when shooting a face with a brick wall behind it.
I expect within the next couple of years zony will come up with a new version with face detection or such. Howevever, until that time, I believe that they are the best for the itesm you indicated.

My guess is that you have identified the problem.
The flourescent lights actually turn on and off 30 times per second. If you are shooting at 60 i or 30p, and you are not perfectly synced with them, you will get a banding of brighter or darker moving up the screen.
I find that with 60i it is less pronounced but still there. I find different flourescents have a more or less effect. Maybe the age of the bulbs is newer or older than the rest. Or maybe you had some window light coming in to hide the problem in some shots comapare to the others.
I have found mercury vapor even worse. The kind in hockey stadiums and gyms.
What I have done to minimize the effect going into the place is to try different shutter speeds to find the minimum effect, often I use 1/150 shutter speed.
I have not, however found a way to fix it in post.
