Think of the SD airing as an hour long promo for the HD version (which is how I feel about all SD programming that also airs in HD). Perhaps the desire is to create a buzz for the HD version.

Greetings fellow redneck! As a Georgia refugee and GSU alum, I have to speak up.

The best place for you to sell that, in my opine, would be before a national cable airing (ESPN, etc) of a UGA game. It would be a solid lead-in. So how do you sell it?

You’d need to get it in front of the programming director of ESPN or FOX Sports (find out who has a license to air UGA games, start with Google) and then you’re good. Another alternative, though less likely, would be HGTV. They’re in Nashville.

So to sum up, look for:

Vice President, Programming, ESPN
Vice President, Special Projects, ESPN

And look for similar titles for the other networks.
(Fox Sports also has regional divisions, so that might be a good place to check into).

Assuming you’ve had a legal department advise you on clearances and you’ve obtained appropriate paperwork from everyone in your show, you should probably be able to sell that for a small sum. Talk to your sports media department (whatever they call it) at UGA and find out who they’re working with this year.

That should help! If nothing else, try selling it to stations like WMAZ in Macon, WSAV in Savannah, and all the other stations in the southeast. You might be able to sell it individually.

Don’t fall for the nude beach hype. We went to South Beach Miami last month and I promise, there was nothin’ in it for me! Everything topless shouldn’t have been, and let’s just say that if I was looking for a great interior designer, I was in the right spot :-).

Thanks – we had a budget of $0 and a crew of 1 (me). The lead singer and I were best friends when we were like, 5, so when I heard that song I decided to head to south Georgia for a weekend to shoot it. A local cable access channel let us sneak in for 3 hours to shoot the bluescreen stuff. The rest was local bars and my parent’s cabin.

In regards to the bluescreen, it turned out they didn’t have a blue floor or real lights. That was all done with regular old fluorescent lights and 2 soft boxes. It was literally the key from hell. The crowd ended up saving me because they covered the groups legs, which were literally unkeyable on any consistent level.

It was a pain, but I walked away with a decent music video for the reel and they walked out with a video that makes them look like a huge unsigned act.

One note, they recently just signed with a label (a division of Sony).

I did – it’s at the end of this music video.
We shot the band at various low, high, and mid angles and shot the crowd (10 people) in front of a bluescreen. Using particular, we were able to make a decent crowd. I see flaws in it, but I’m always my worst critic!

You know, alot of people are wigging about Craigslist having crap ads. I get it, they suck. The only times I ever look at Craigslist TV jobs forum is if I need a good laugh. It’s not just relegated to the tv jobs forum – I’d say most o f the jobs on there are crap, ego filled, noxious posts made by people who have no idea about much of anything.

My favorites are the ones that go something like this:

Award winning director seeks producer for high-budget movie production. Producer should provide investors who recognize quality when they see it. Producer should also have access to script writers and hot screenplay for me to direct. Also seeking production facility (editor, equipment, crews) to work pro-bono for screen credits and industry respect. Also looking for hotshot young assistant director capable of dealing with mundane directing aspects such as: instructing talent on set, keeping crew motivated, generating ideas, and passion for the film. Sincerely, Michael Bay.

Aw shucks Tim, thanks. I’ve said (and posted) some pretty thoughtless things at times. We don’t all have fancy pr departments that filter our words for errors, ya know? Foot in mouth disease isn’t just relegated to drunken hollywood stars and politicains!

I really love the cow and think what you guys have done regarding the ‘low pay’ and ‘high pay’ forums is a perfect remedy.
