Strobes? Stutters? Regardless it has nothing to do with any compatibility issues. The two play very nicely together, when all of your settings are correct.

Timewarp in AE has motion blur as well. Set the speed to 100%, analyze using Pixel Motion, and experiment with different shutter angles. My experience with this effect is limited, so I can’t speak for the quality of the results.

What codec did you use to export the file? Really there’s no need to use Quicktime Conversion. You should just use Export > Quicktime Movie, using Current Settings.
It looks like a lossy codec was used.Joey Foreman

These posts have gotten a bit out of oreder, so that anyone who read the last post would think the problem was solved and the topic closed.
The problem still remains of cross compatibility between Quicktime files on a Mac and a P.C.
I wasn’t aware there was such an issue, as long as both platforms used the same Quicktime codecs – in this case Animation.
I have exhausted all of my possible solutions for the poster, so if there are any experts out there with a solution to this problem, please help.

You don’t export your project from After Effects, you render it. Go to Composition > Make Movie. You can leave the first group, Render Settings, set to Best Settings. If the second group is set to Lossless, then you can go ahead and hit the Render button.
If it is not set to Lossless, click on it and then click on Format Options. From here you can choose the Animation codec. Hit the OK button, then hit the Render button.
This file will work fine in FCP, and if you want, you can change the codec back to DVCPro 50 in FCP Sequence Settings for final output. If your project is going to DVD, that won’t be necessary. You can bring the file with the Animation codec directly into Compressor.Joey Foreman

Thanks, Ron. I knew there was some sort of time limit on the Edit option, as I’ve used it many times before, and then wondered later why it was missing.
I’ll try to make sure I’ve proofread my post thoroughly from now on, and, like I said, make sure all synapses are fully caffeinated and firing before even attempting a response.Joey Foreman
