Do you have openGL on? Are you seeing the problem in a rendered clip, or only in a RAM preview? Is Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously on? You don’t say which version of AE you’re using, but neither of the aforementioned features worked as expected in earlier versions on certain systems.

The original rate was 23.976, and was thus reflected in the Footage Panel. I bypassed creating a comp, hoping to avoid the CS4 gamma shift, which I did.
You’re right about the monitor, and I will test it with one. -

Confused. Film has pulldown added all the time for broadcast, and it doesn’t look “stuttery”.

Will Apple Compressor play nicely with the pulldown added file in converting to mpeg? -
I’ve heard a lot about LaCies failing, but I’ve had 3 D2s for about 8 years, and a Rugged (which I love) for about a year, and they’re all still working just fine.
I think the Rugged only goes up to 750 GB with a firewire 800 option, the 1TB option being E-Sata and USB 2 only.
I also have 2 Western Digital MyBooks which are still working great after 4 years, but they require an external power source, like the LaCie D2s. -

Add an Adjustment layer to the comp and draw a mask on it just covering the letters, then apply Glow to the adjustment layer, set to Color Channels. Pick a nice Blue or whatever for Color A.
Another method would be to use a Luma Key.
To do this, duplicate your layer and draw a mask around the letters on the duplicate layer.
Apply a Luma Matte effect and set it to Key Out Darker. Tweak the controls until only the letters are left. (Turn off the lower layer so you can see what’s happening.)
Apply the Glow effect, set to Alpha Channel. Tweak to taste. -
A quick, dirty, and inelegant solution would be to add a Null Object layer to the comp, shift select all the object layers and parent them to the null. Scale up the null. Your objects will spread out, but also increase in scale. Shift select all the object layers again, hit S and scale them back down to their original size.
