Alt-drag the video clip into a menu opened in the Menu editor.
You’ll have to render the motion menu to see it play back in Encore.

Are you using chapter end actions? If so, don’t.
Instead, use regular chapters with no end action, and then put each chapter in its own chapter playlist with the end action set to the menu.
Then you can link a button to the timeline, which will play all the way through, or to a chapter playlist, which plays only the chapter and then returns to the menu.

There’s no way to do this in a DVD authoring tool.
Windows Media Player uses a database for replicated DVDs. Not sure how you access this database, but you’d begin by getting the disc replicated at a replicator (not burning a DVD, but having it stamped from an etched master). Price: at least $1000…maybe more.
Hardware DVD players don’t ever display the disc name.

Not in a DVD authoring tool, as DVD-Video doesn’t offer this kind of feature.
You might be able to fake it using multiple menus. A lot of work.

Does the button still have a thumbnail layer? (is its prefix (%) in the Layers panel?)

If you scan the pages, you could do it with an Encore slideshow.
Of course, you may have readability issues due to video resolution – DVD players are limited to standard definition video (720×480/576 pixels, NTSC/PAL).

It’s not an available feature for buttons or menus in the DVD-Video format.
However, you can do a workaround, using multiple menus (each menu has a different button highlighted, and the menu itself has the button sound), and the auto-activate button feature.
Note that if you have lots of buttons, you will have lots of menus and linking to do. Also note that this workaround will not work with a software DVD player – the user will have to click the button to get to the next menu with sound effect.
