Out of curiosity, and professional necessity,
what are the ideal halogen light settings in the USA?

  • Hi Adam!

Well, I think what Jeremy Garchow and I got to in the end is that I ended up starting a new library and re-imported everything fresh. And I repopulated the clips in the original library and copy/pasted them to the new library and the keywording copied, which had been my primary concern, not to lose all that keywording work. I didn’t ever figure out the cause of the issue because I had to move on. But I never had the problem again with the new library.

I’ll tag Jeremy in the other thread and see if he can help more.

Glad you asked and I hope we can figure this out!!

March 21, 2017 at 9:41 am in reply to: New Canon camera purchase question

Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank you all again for emboldening me to try out every single camera recommended in this thread and more at my fave camera store Hunt’s Photos in Boston.

The more I started frankensteining together all the DSLR options and accessories, the more unwieldy everything seemed. And then my trusty camera guy said, “Ummmm, can I show you something?”

And about two hours later I walked out with the Canon EOS C100 Mark II.

My credit card balance is a little worse for the wear, but my rig, flexibility, weight, speed, and general level of excitement are way higher. I think this camera is going to really alleviate a lot of the issues I was having with tons of gear. I really only shoot video, and if I need stills I’ve got the little T5i in my bag, good to go with a nifty fifty.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone for recommending I think outside the box. Even though I stayed with Canon, my segue to a cinema camera seems like the right option and I’m really excited to get out there……

    Happy shooting, all! ☺

I don’t know why, but I’ll take it. I guess I need to school myself in this roles thing.

    Thank you so much.

Is there no way to turn a single channel mono into a dual mono?

Ah, maybe you identified the problem. Because the clip is actually a synced clip that was imported from Plural Eyes. But I don’t understand why I still can’t double the audio. Even if I double it manually I can’t figure a way to balance them or pan.

But I’m only working in a single camera and I still don’t have the configuration options. I tried to make my single camera clip a compound clip but then I could figure out how to get into the angle editor. I don’t know why this is so confusing 🙁

Thank you, and ugh, I wish! That’s from 2011. But with the 10.3 update the audio sidebar is totally different.

Here are some screenshots. You’ll see in the Information panel, in the audio section, there’s an Audio configuration option but my audio file has no drop-down menu Channel Configuration option or Channels options.

I just can’t figure it out!
    Thank you!
