Are you using PAL or NTSC?

Try putting the outgoing animation as a video background on another menu. The transition from one menu to another is usually faster than the transition from menu to timeline.

Be aware that the amount of “black” between timelines depends on the player and how quickly the laser assembly can move and refocus. Better (more expensive) players will cut the seam between timelines down to almost nothing.

Finally, Encore’s preview is worse in this regard than just about any hardware player.

  • You have to use the Specify Link option in the dropdown list in the Properties sheet for the button.

Animated buttons are limited to 15 seconds if your menu background is static and there is no audio background. So either make a full motion menu with a video background, or add a couple minutes of silence as an audio background.

This issue is fixed in Encore 2.0.

What version of Photoshop? Encore? AE? This could be a PAR issue if you used square pixels in PS and a rectangular pixel comp in AE.

I would stick with the short list at the top of this document. It’s for Encore 1.5 but Adobe used it for their 2.0 compatibility list. I have used the Pioneer 106 and 107 and the NEC 1100 burners with no trouble. I now use the NEC 3520 DL burner in tandem with the others and it works well with both 1.5 and 2.0.

Sorry. I forgot to mention that I first create an .img file from my Encore project and then use GEAR to burn the image to multiple burners at the same time.

    Hi Wes,

For runs under a hundred, I use multiple burners and GEAR Pro Professional edition . For runs larger than that, I would bite the bullet and use GEAR Pro Mastering edition and send a DLT off to a replication facility.
