    Which numbnuts named a codec jpeg lol, okay thanks,m will just have to mess around in export see which gives me the least lossness and good sound quality.

    though Jpeg or photo would just put the main frame in a picture format not an actual movie???? How confused am i lol. Basically I need to put on another computer to show someone how a 1 minute clip will look. So they can view an put on the web. Wierd thing is I put in apples intemediate codex and there were a few drop frames and towards the end it didnt even finish of the minute sequence… really strange. I put in H624 and video playback was fine but the sound went mute half way through… why cant life be simple lol

    Okay…. after days of trawling, I figured it out, for some reason everytime I updated fcp it didnt update motion to new 3.2, so I deinstalled it reinstalled, then it updated it and now template works… yay…!!!

    Just checked codex its HDV 1080i50, whats the best codex to export so it works on most quicktime players, thanks all, also any idea why master templates is blank in timeline?

    its annoying i updated everything and still no luck, ive trashed preferences and still same, you think it might have something to do with quicktime?

    So is the Nvidia 5600 far superior to the ATI Radeon HD 3870? Will I need it or is it overkill for FCP editing? Tried googling info but cant figure it out

    hi mate Ive got the latest software mac os x, its really frustrating that non of the master templates work, I can see the previews fine but when i add in timeline, just blank scree i can go to controls and add text and stuff but still leaves me with blank screen even after rendering
