    Hey Mike,
I can’t get to the video via the link. Is the link correct?

From what I saw, I’ll agree with Steve. I’m not sure the new features will be used by the majority of folks.

I was really hoping for the ability to have multiple timelines like Premiere and Final Cut. This… I could use 🙂

Perhaps I’m missing something as I can’t see a major draw to v13.

Nobody knows how to do this?
Any tips on where I could find how to do it?
    Cheers,

    You sure are correct Steve!
Having seen the outcome though, I wonder why I shouldn’t always select BEST.

UPDATE: Just saw your other response Steve 🙂

So I humbly return to report what I have discovered.

One of the mpg had been rendered with the “video rendering quality” setting of the template (last tab) to “use project setting” while the other had been rendered using “Best” (As per Mike’s advice in a previous post)

I had forgotten to set it to BEST, as it wasn’t set this way in my template by default. Let me assure you… it now is 🙂

I hope this tidbit helps others.

Moral of the story… that last tab setting in the render template is very important

    Cheers

    A wee update…

The oddity may well be with the physical DVD player. I just tried viewing the DVD using VLC player and lo and behold… the last subtitle ends where it should.

Wouldn’t you know it. Golly Gee. Jeepers Creepers.

January 31, 2014 at 3:25 pm in reply to: Recognize this Vegas 12 hanging behaviour?

Yes I’ve had this too Scott.
I used to think the hang was permanent and lose much work until one day I let it hang until it decided to return to the land of the living.

Now when it happens, I just wait.

From what was said here… It may be most efficient to continue waiting when it happens. It’s not extremely frequent.

    Hi Steve,

As mentioned, it’s the same logo, same image file. I even cut/pasted the image event from one project to the next.

I also checked/compared the properties in Vegas, on both. They’re the same.
Very strange, I can’t make sense of it.

The poor image doesn’t have extremely jagged edges, but enough that it makes the logo look poor. The other is fine.

    Thanks,
That’s the mystery of it, same file, same settings, once on the DVD, diff result.

The reason I can’t provide much info is that it occurs on the DVD. (burning CBR 6000)

I guess I could get a screen grab somehow. or… just live with it.

I thought I’d ask in case it ran a bell with someone who has had this issue.

I made a lot of coasters today.
