I wish I could – the only video software I have is Resolve! I’m not nearly as big-time as everyone else here but I use and appreciate Resolve immensely; it generally does everything I need so I haven’t yet had to buy anything else. I’d love to export XML/reimport if I could. I think I’m actually being a baby about this – I need to just get it redone! Oh well.

OK, so I was able to start a new project in 29.97 and successfully copy the whole project, but it still appears to have the skipped frames and when I go to “project settings” sure enough, 24 is there and greyed out ☹ Oh well – it’s only a 45-second clip, it won’t take me forever to redo it – it’s just syncing up the lips to the audio that will be a challenge! It’s a choir singing slowly, but at least I have some sort of template to start from.

    Thank you anyway!

I’ve found myself in the same situation and just tried to copy/paste, but I get an error box that says “Current project frame rate does not match that of copied items from the timeline.” Project filmed in 29.97, somehow mistakenly edited in a 24 timeline, now looks like crap due to skipped frames – and I’d really like to avoid having to completely redo it since it’s all been painstakingly synced to the audio track!!

    Many thanks for any help!

Makes sense, Glenn – thanks a lot.

Thanks for the reply, Glenn – honestly I messed around until what I was changing did what I want! In Color, I went to Sizing and then selected Output Sizing, then under Blanking, I changed things to this:

    Top: 290.2
    Right: 1920
    Bottom: 800
    Left: 0

But now that I think about it, just the word “Blanking” itself may sort of imply that there will be black bars. I’d love to crop the entire thing, not just create bars…any ideas?

    Many, many thanks!
