The upload feature is NOT working from my computer. I reset safari and I click on the icon to upload a photo. I hit chose file and I select my file. Then I hit Upload image and it says “image uploaded” yet doesn’t show it in the upper right part of the screen.. Hence I cannot place the embeded code in my discussion. I tried it on Firefox and the icon for uploading a photo doesn’t appear on that browser.

    Doh!

Funny thing is it worked the first time I tried, but I accidentally uploaded the wrong image. I hit the X button near the image and it has never reappeared for me…

    Thanks!

No that doesn’t change the movie. The odd thing is that when I view it as a quicktime movie it looks distorted.. when I use adobe flash encoder and make it into a flash movie it is still distorted. When I convert it to MPEG2 for DVDSP it looks normal. When I import it back into FCP it looks normal.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me??

I have tried to upload a couple of .jpgs of screen shots, but Creative Cow website is doing funky things…

    Thanks for you help!

Here is the odd thing……When I play the movie in Quicktime it looks distorted. When I import that quicktime movie back into FCP it looks correct again.

Both are set to 100% scale and the quicktime says it is a 720X480 movie.

    What am I missing here?

    Thanks!

    Two reasons….

    1) Using the P2 card I would only need one power outlet (for computer), it weighs a LOT less, and could fit in my computer bag…. one less thing to worry about.

    2) I could travel and mix my recordings on the go. Remember that you see a huge drop in performance if you try to run audio/video on your internal drive. It would be way cool mixing or editing on a plane!

I thought the P2 cards are super durable …. do you think they could they handle it?

    Thanks for writing back!

    Thanks!

    Hi Tom,

Is there any difference in the workflow with IDVD vs Final Cut Pro? I could easily capture a quicktime movie in FCP and then drag it to DVD Studio Pro, but it would still make me compress it before writing the DVD. This is what I am trying to avoid, so that I can write a DVD without any compression or editing…. I know it sounds backwards, but I want to capture video as a MPEG2 so I can write the DVD instantly (I have an insane amount of footage)

    Thanks for your response

    Hi Shane,

I am looking to buy this adaptor as well…. do you have a link?

Also how fast does it transfer? If I have a full 32gig card and my MacbookPro is 1.8Ghz machine, how long in minutes do think it would roughly take?

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

    Hi Allen,

Thanks for responding!… I just took the CLVS course in New Orleans and hopefully will be CLVS certified in March.

I had a few questions for you if you don’t mind about depositions.

    1) Do you give an audio cassette to the court reporter or do you use another format? Can you give them a copy of the DVD instead? I got rid of my cassette player about 5 years ago, thinking I would never use it again!!

    2) I just bought a Phillips DVD unit that has a 160gig hard drive which can write DVDs…I am planning on using it as my primary recorder. My camera uses the P2 cards and I can record about 3 1/2 hours in standard definition. It also has a tape drive which I figure I will use if the deposition goes over 3 1/2 hours. Do you think this is feasible way to operate? How long is the average deposition?

    3) I have been cold calling all the court reporters in my area…. Do you have any recommendations as far as marketing?

If you want reply to me directly at Taffypro@gmail.com

    Thanks for your time!
