I run Win7 and don’t remember what driver I installed but I have never had problem transferring and working with P2 footage from the camera.

I use VIMEO, I like the community there.
Also, you can store your videos on Youtube (you must, anyway) and embed them in a wordpress site.
I hope this helps

January 24, 2012 at 2:31 pm in reply to: Lower cost alternative to P2 cards and Firestore?Get at least one P2 card and carry an old laptop that can read it to backup (you may need to install the drivers).
You may buy a used P2, if you don’t care taking the risk of getting a damaged one. I did it and has not fail me.
This is good for a planned production. In a social event like weddings this is not a solution because download times to the laptop can be long. You’ll need to get at least two cards and an assistant that download one while you record in the other.
I hope this helps.

The spikes can be reduced using the “Mesh” button. I don’t exactly recall where it is, but it’s an option for the object.
There’s a video tutorial for 3D Invigorator and Illustrator files. You can google for it.
Oh, got it: https://zaxwerks.com/movies/media/35_Illustrator.html

You can import the 3D models, but once inside you won’t be able to separate them to use different materials. So, the model must be separated in different files before importing.

You can place marks on your lens, by choosing landmarks across the road and change them as your runner goes.
Place a starting mark on the focus ring and press the “Infinite” button. Now place a mark for each landmark. Now, as your runner runs your assistant can follow the landmarks to change the marks on your lens.
Be sure to place your focus ring mark on the “infinitum” place and press the infinite button each time so you reset it, because if you roll the ring passing this point it will lost the calibration.
Also, the camera has a manual focus assistant that work great most of the time, but it will change your rings calibration, so be sure to turn it off from the in-camera menu.
Of course, if you are skill enough you can use the focus meter along with the landmarks to change focus as your runner goes trough them, but this can be trick as you already know.
I hope this helps
