I think it doesn’t matter what the client say during the process. Yes, yes yes, I always answer. I know at the end if they’re happy with the results (and many times that means other people telling them the work is great) they will call again. And pay.

If you are familiar with Photoshop you can create web pages there.

    Look at Abraham’s tutorial.

I’ll recommend you to watch this podcast:

It’s a great introduction to video compression for the web.

    Great suggestions, John

    I like the final one:

    Sleep!

I really need to go for that eureka moment.

Some video editors can export FLV format. Are you willing to buy a converter or you’re looking for free software?

I don’t think you can just place a FLV directly into HTML because you need extra files to make it work (the swf controls and a little javascript for IE bugs).

Some software export the FLV already with the necessary files. Do you have any “video for web” related software?

    Thank you, Curtis.

I have been searching the web for answers and I have not found anything conclusive. What you say is really helpful.

My client has heard from somebody (probably a friend) that the process was very easy. Probably his friend was talking about exporting and sharing a report, not the database.

Sorry, I just have re-read my post and it was a little confusing.

Forget about the details on how do I found the link and just go here:

    https://www.a1video.us/www.a1VIDEO.us/Media/

I checked and IE was showing the moves, but nor Firefox or Opera. I upgraded quicktime and now I can see the movies. Before that nothing, not a box video or feedback of any kind.

I found the relative link to your media file in the external javascript file, added it in front of the URL and found the direct link to your video.

    https://www.a1video.us/www.a1VIDEO.us/Media/Time%20Squere.%20New%20York.%20New%20year.2009.m4v

It looks like iweb is placing your videos in the Media folder. So for your other links you may change the name of the movie and that should do the trick.

I’ll recommend you not to use spaces in your movie names, you can see how ugly the direct link is displayed. Find another way to name your files, like using_an_underscore or-separating-the-words witoutSpaces.

I don’t use Cartweaver and I had no idea of the method it uses to administrate the site, but if you paste the code of your page maybe we can find a way to help you.

As I understand, you want to add the greeting to your database table.

It’s in a new cell or an existing one?

Are you using Cartweaver with some previous knowledge of PHP and MySQL?
