The video player will open in a new window?

You can use a Dreamweaver behavior for that. And use your Flash movie with autoplay.

The close window… well, I know there’s a way to make actionscript and javascript to talk to each other, but I don’t know if someone in this forum can help you with that. You can ask in the Flash forum.

    I hope this helps

I made a local test and kind of worked

    >placed the ocean footage into the comp
    >color corrected so its high contrast
    >tracked the rotation and here is the trick
i made the searching areas very horizontal covering almost half of the comp each one
    >tracked them
and apply them to the footage

it was not perfectly stabilized but kind of

if other options are not available maybe this one can save you

    i hope this helps

You can assign, in browsershots, the version of Flash you want to have for your previews. I’m not sure what happens if you let the “Don’t care” option selected, but maybe that’s the problem.

Try selecting the placeholder image and then selecting the source image again.

If that not works, you may post the code of your site here. Remember to paste the code, select it and then press the CODE button in the post window, otherwise it will not show right.

If you don’t want to go manual, you may ry to get another ocean shot. All I can see are the following options:

    -They get you another shot
    -Buy some stock footage
    -Create it from a still

I animated a still of the ocean once using solids with fractal noise to create layers of distance in the waves and kind of worked out. The trick will be to match your frontal shot.

There are a series of podcast about Weather Replacement in the After Effects podcast section, here in the COW. Could be a good thing to watch them if you go for the still option.

    I hope this helps.

The videos look fine in my computer with IE8 and IE6 running Win XP.

(Mike, you can install multiple Internet Explorer versions in the same computer using this installer)

Double check the name of the image is not changing when you update it.

Can you post a link to your site?

    Interesting site.

I will say a word about size: If your audience are programmers they surely don’t have old computers. So, design for bigger screen sizes.

The home page doesn’t let you scroll down until fully loaded.

Remember to design for content. Too much attention on the flags, the emoticons and the characters on the header. But where’s the beef?

    In the posts.

Search for the “Yahoo! Media Player”

There are other options like the Odeo MP3 Player and the Google Reader MP3 Player. It’s not that difficult to use them.

The volume button on your flash skin is… well, in the skin. There’s no easy way to eliminate it, but you can choose a different Skin.

Search for some “Free Flash Skins”

  • That pop-up is normal. You need to key frame the opacity of your cloud layers.

You can also try the free Videocopilot 3D Falloff preset.
