[…Also, could you use browser based ftp in a way that each user’s login goes to a separate ftp folder, so users cannot see other users’ uploads, yet only having to distribute one username and password. For example, each session would generate its own remote folder…]

Yes, but it can be a little complicates since you’ll need to manage the accounts, probably with a database.

You can google for “php download upload script”, there are different solutions, some of them free.

    I hope this helps

Well, in the very first fraction of a second it can be seen the cameraman with a Canon SLR doing the actual video. I assume that’s Spielberg shoot of the crew.

Also, there are just a couple of shots that are hand held and probably soothed with a point and shoot camera or Spielberg’s phone.

Just guessing, but I think Spielberg is using an every day look by putting the “Youtube style” shoots there to add some credibility.

Hard to come with a name in English, but maybe something related to biker’s life.

What about the personalities of the characters? I Dave a cool guy or a psycho?

    “Bike Tribe”

    “The modificators”

    “Flesh and steel”

    “The Brainstormcowers”

In the menu of the camera go to:

    >DISPLAY SETUP >SAFETY ZONE >4:3

This will, however, display the safe margins with all the other display properties you have in the viewfinder. For a clean external monitor with safe margins… use the Scotch tape.

In mayor cities in Mexico you MUST have government permission to shoot in public places. Of course, if you look like a tourist the police probably will not bother you, but if you look anything as a pro (like shooting with a tripod) you can end in jail.

Permissions, however, are given free. But you need at least two weeks in advance to go with all the paperwork. It can really be a pain.

Many producers here just shoot without saying anything. Some friends even have Hi-Def handy cams to do public shots of buildings without being bothered by the police.

All this permission controls are, I think, for security reasons. Local TV News staff, that’s identified with uniforms, is never bothered.
