Like I said, there are no tools which do everything. Sometimes I use 6 or 7 tools to get a disc.

There are no magic tools which do it all. Img burn makes ISOs so your covered there. As far as drag and drop authoring theres really nothing good in my experience. But go through the list here – there are 46. Try and see which ones you like.
I gave you my opinions but those are like A-holes – everybodys got one and they all stink. Try the tools out and see which works best for you

No…there is no authoring tool which is a ripper. Like Michael said, they are 2 separate things. There’s nothing worth mentioning in the sub $100 range. DVDLab Pro is around $200 and is the best tool for its money IMO. As far as rippers go, there are tons. best to google that and try which one You like best.

I agree with Jon. DVD authoring tools are not meant to be design tools anyway. If you don’t like the quality then you either need to practice better work flows or get a better encoder….not sure which one but you did mention you don’t author very many discs.
DVD authoring/encoding/design is difficult work to get right. It takes practice and hours of hard.

You F’d it up :). There is no 25p in BD. Besides, you took an interlaced source and made it progressive. Make a 50i file and encode that.

That thread is referring to the quality of the picture. Its just 1 and 0s so quality is not affected. But compatibility and playability across a large amount of players is affected.

DVDSP is fine for this. There are thousands of DVDSP titles on store shelves. BD a different story. There are only 3 tool which allows you to author a discs for replication: Do Studio, SCenarist and Blu Print. Its highly advisable you find someone who knows what they are doing as well.

Not really any tricks but experience, good source material and good encoders.

Brands can make a big difference. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are all I’ll use. You never want to use cheap media in a professional environment.
