If its already 24p does it need any conversion? I would think encoding 24p for an NTSC disc would be good

  • I would think a good outboard TBC would be needed for this kind of work

Honestly, you should go to videohelp.com for this question. Tons of guys over there who specialize in VHS to DVD conversions. 🙂

Was the DVD NTSC? Only NTSC, open region discs will play worldwide

Region codes can only be applied to DDP images from DVDSP ….just delivery a burned title to a replicator won’t do it. The replicator can apply these codes but I’m not sure how you are delivery a master to them?

You’ll need a authoring tools which supports scripting. DVDSP , Scenarist, DVD Lab

Setting up a slide show would be impossible since you’re limited to 99 titles per the Spec

    99×99= 1000

The only way would be setting up separate menus with their own fwd/back buttons. Something like this should be done in a spec tool like Scenarist.

DVD wasn’t designed for this kind of title 🙂

The client needs to do this in Flash, not DVD

If I understand the way you’re explaining , it’s not possible.

In theory, You could do up to 10k menus with stills and buttons for fwd/back, but it’s not practical since it would takes weeks to set up

What about just shooting 23.98 from here on out? Good for the web and 24p DVDs play on PAL players

….I’m on a train from Salzburg to Dusseldorf
