Just to add, these tools arent for beginners and you will needs weeks/months of learning and testing before you’re up to speed. Daniel is a professional DVD/Blu Ray author who has already done the heavy lifting so be forewarned.

Just coming from experience. Ive seen way too many good folks screws things up because they thought it would be easy. At one time, I paid my bill on fixing other’s problems

No…you’re fine. Most players wont play CD-R anyway. In fact, I didnt think they made CD media anymore. 🙂

The spec calls for 32. I guess DVD Lab tops out at 8? I thought it accommodated 32

You’ll need to move up to more advanced authoring tools like Scenarist OT DVD Studio pro for this kind of functionality

Basicaly you would use a script to determine which chapter is currently playing then route the disc to the right menu

    Hi Ann

You can contact me offlist and I’ll give you a broker’s name.

But how are you authoring this? Encore will not deliver the file sets for replication. You’ll need a third party application for that called Blustreak from Rivergate Software.

August 16, 2011 at 6:09 pm in reply to: No True BD Authoring software?

That wasnt even true last year 🙂

There’s Do Studio which runs $3K and there’s the Easy BD suit from DVD logic which runs $700 Both have a moderate learning curve and it will take some time to get up to speed with the technology – There are MANY pitfalls which will cost you embarrassment and money

Personally, unless you plan to do many titles in the future, I would farm this work out to an experience author or facility.

August 15, 2011 at 5:30 pm in reply to: BD-R Only plays on Profile 2 blu-ray players

    Ahhh….Profle 2. Thought you said region 2.

It could be your profile 1 player just doesnt play burned discs….they are old. Im surprised you found profile 1 players in a store….are your sure youre not talking about region 1 or 2 players, not profile 1 or 2? Theres a difference

If you made a PAL project in Encore then it ,most likely, transcoded what you have to 50i.

    Here are the specs

    1920x1080x59.94i(=29.97fps interlaced), 50i(=25fps interlaced) (16:9)
    1920x1080x24p, 23.976p (16:9)
    1440x1080x59.94i, 50i (16:9) AVC / VC-1 only
    1440x1080x24p, 23.976p (16:9) AVC / VC-1 only
    1280x720x59.94p, 50p (16:9)
    1280x720x24p, 23.976p (16:9)
    Standard Definition Video
    720x480x59.94i (4:3/16:9)
    720x576x50i (4:3/16:9)
