Great idea! Thanks. That won’t work on all of my scenes because of how I’ve built some of my effects and 3d layers, but for the most part that’ll do it.

workaround: I was able to get realtime HD playback through the multibridge going composite out, but I still don’t know why I couldn’t get a signal to go thorugh HDMI.

after a little more research it appears I may be able to do what I need to do using MPEG streamclip. we’ll see.
