Thanks for the response. I am in the midst of transcribing interviews and have been alt tabbing back and forth b/w word and final cut. One time while in an alt tabbing/typing frenzy, I hit the wrong key and all of a sudden was typing while playback was occuring in final cut. I havent been able to recreate this, and is why i came to the forums. So unless I was hallucinating (which i believe could be possible) there is a way to do it…
