Thanks for the info, Dan, but I have a question: I do have my monitor colour space setting in the Output Module drop-down, and just as you said, the rendered video now looks identical to what I’m seeing in my AE project. One question though: Won’t choosing my particular monitor colour space affect the look of the rendered video on other people’s displays? Will they get the same colour settings as I’m seeing?

Hi Dave.
The footage is all mostly computer generated, created on the PC, zero live footage and fairly fast animation. Lots of 3D work and lots of blocks of solid colours that need to be as close to the original as possible. Here’s a few screen caps:

Just a small update: I notice that even when using the Invigorator lights, it seems impossible to overlight an object. As an example, if I go into the Invigorator lighting control panel and point an Invigorator light at part of my model and push the intensity value to 100% I’m getting the effect that I expect. But there are occasions where I want to have even more light on a particular spot, and I can’t seem to be able to do that. I’ve tried positioning other Invigorator lights pointing at the same spot, all with 100% intensity, but the brightness of the model is unaffected. Whether I point 5 lights at 100% intensity, or one light at 100% intensity, it makes no difference. I assume the only workaround if I want to have a model REALLY bright up would be to add an AE brightness/contrast filter to the Invigorator layer?

(sorry, press post too soon!)
I know I could add a wiggle expression to the camera position property, but I can’t figure out a way to make the shake go gradually from small to large.

Just an update. I managed to solve my particular problem above by setting the cube layers material options to cast shadows = on.

Hi Todd,
As explained in my first post, I had already done that.

Well at least I’m glad it’s not just me!
Thanks, Tudor.
Mike.

Thanks for the reply, Tudor, but other than making things a little on the dark side, it had no effect.
Here’s another cropped screen-cap after applying the changes you advised:

My apologies, I put the wrong link into my post above for the AE project. Here’s what it should be:
