that 2 second video you uploaded is good. Use that as reference for premiere scopes and monitor balance.

sounds like a full hard drive. they get slower when filled up.
try converting your videos to proxies(prores LT), see if that fixes your issue. video tutorial below from adobe.
    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/how-to/proxy-media.html

we still don’t know what type of video you are trying to playback. I’m assuming its more than 30MB/sec bitrate that’s why I suggested prores LT proxy(5MB/sec).

sounds like a cpu or hard disk bottleneck. does the problem go away if you change preview to 1/8 or transcode to cineform?
what does your cpu/gpu usuage say? what is your hard drive? what video codec are you playing? you can view details with free mediainfo software.

shotguns generally give better sound isolation/rejection but often not work well in reflective rooms. It all depends if it is a proper soundstage or cement/hardwood walls. You can be outdoors in a quarry with a cardiod or a small voice over room with a supercardiod. It’s about mic distance and reflective surfaces, not indoors/outdoors.

you may find that hypercardiod mics don’t provide the proper noise rejection necessary for outdoor film work. you CAN use shotgun mics (supercardiods) in highly reflective places so long as your mic is very close to the audio source. Here is an example of a 416 shotgun in a small cement room with no comb filtering keeping inside minimum critical distance.

    what is critical distance?

on the other hand, you may record in highly reflective soundstages far away from the audio. choose the mic that will match the majority of your work.

consider the super portable roland r-26 $379, much, much better preamps than h4n pro or tascams. getting an expensive mic but a subpar recorder is a waste of money imho.

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/821260-REG/Roland_R_26_R_26_6_Channel_Digital_Field.html

2nd choice recorder would be Tascam DR-60D which has similar noise floor but not as smooth. $174.

both the Senheisser MKE 600 and Rode NTG4+ are excellent value. ntg4+$399.00 and sen 600 $329 not quite as sensitive as 416 but still good sound.

so to match mic quality with recorder:
    1. fostex fr2le + Sennheiser mkh 416/sanken CS3e
    1. roland r-26 + sen 600/Rode NTG3
    2. tascam dr-60d + ntg4+
    3. h4n with senn ME-66/NTG2/Videomic Pro/Audio-Technica AT875R

  • it sounds fixed. magenta all gone?
don’t worry about shooting anything then.

  • i need the trimmed raw clip to determine if your camera’s colors are magenta. I’m trying to see if you have many video codecs installed like klite-codec or something and its overriding default colors with vfw etc.

im trying to get your vlc to default color mode.

  • I understand that youtube and vlc match from your previous post. Got it.
The youtube clip does appear a little magenta. I actually like this ‘grade’, looks nice! well anyway, here’s the thing, after you upload to youtube, youtube changes the colors again! I tested some other g7 footage and premiere matches exactly with vlc, again…
Can you upload a 1 sec. clip from raw g7/g4 footage?

in vlc-tools-preferences-enable use hardware yuv->RGb conversions.
set output to openGL video output
in vlc, effects, filters, disable video effects

if this fails , I might be able to make a correction LUT for you. Can you please take this image, open it in VLC, uncheck video always fit windows, zoom original size,
screenshot that and upload back as a PNG. I’ll use that to create a conversion 16&64 LUT you can use in premiere.

  • i tested another computer with a colorpicker with premiere and vlc, same result. pixels are identical down to RGB code. i did install a fresh copy of vlc so perhaps try uninstalling vlc, delete its old color preferences folder and install the latest version. I am running win7, premiere 2017.0.2 vlc 2.2.4. make sure your gfx driver is set to 0-255 not 16-235 in utility control panel.

  • “The artifacts show up in the original , but not the proxies”
have you heard of the holmsian method?

you need to first isolate if its the computer or the camera. find someone who has a working c100 AND computer and
swap out their test footage with yours.
    1. if their footage works in your computer, its your camera/card
    2. if their footage doesn’t work in your computer, its your computer.

…then go from there. smaller and smaller till you find the cause
    i.e.
    1. record camera with his media. if it works, its your card(if his media works in your computer), if not its your camera.
and so on, and so forth working with a known ‘good’ will help you isolate the variables.
